Maristes welcome back Sims, ex Metros

Henry Sims

CS Maristes (DLBL) signed 35-year-old USA ex-international 208cm center Henry Sims (college: Georgetown). It is his return to Dik El Mehdi as he previously played here. Sims most recently played for Metros in LNB league in Dominican Republic. In 18 games during the last season, he averaged 10.7ppg, 6.9rpg, and 1.9apg. He contributed to their regular season victory and reaching the final. Sims had a successful year, earning a spot on Latinbasket.com All-Dominican Republic League Honorable Mention and All-Imports Team. He also had a stint with CS Maristes (LBL).
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016. Sims was a member of the USA Senior National Team in 2022.
He is a very experienced player. Sims has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to eleven different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). He has played professionally in China (Loongs), Italy (Reggio Emilia, Fortitudo Flat Service Bologna, Cremona and Treviso), Jordan (Amman United), Philippines, Saudi Arabia (Ohod), Venezuela (Broncos), NBA (Utah Jazz, Brooklyn Nets, Phoenix Suns and Indiana Pacers), NBA G League (Salt Lake City Stars and Grand Rapids Gold), South Korea (Mobis Phoebus and Daegu), Big3 (Tri-State) and The Basketball Tournament (Dawgtown).
He was selected to Eurobasket.com Italian Serie A All-Imports Team in 2020.
Sims graduated from Georgetown University in 2012 and it'll be his 14th season in pro basketball.
