Tariq Owens

Sagesse - Al Hekmeh Beirut (LBL) inked 29-year old American 208cm forward Tariq Owens (college: Texas Tech). He moved there from Vanoli Basket Cremona in Italian Serie A. In 29 games he averaged 10.1ppg, 6.1rpg and 1.2bpg last season. He ended the last season at Purple Reign in U.S. semi-pro league TBT where in only one game he had 5 points, 7 rebounds and 1 assist. But the most of that year he spent at Metros in Dominican Rep. LNB. In 5 games he recorded 7.4ppg, 4.2rpg, 1.6apg and 2.0bpg.
Owens is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to six different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). Owens has played previously professionally in other USA team, NBA (Phoenix Suns), NBA G League (NAZ Suns and Long Island Nets), NBA Summer League (Dallas Mavericks and Memphis Grizzlies) and The Basketball Tournament (Air Raiders).
He was voted to Big 12 All-Defensive Team back in 2019.
Owens graduated from Texas Tech University in 2019 and it is his sixth season in pro basketball. He played for other colleges like: St. John's University, University of Tennessee.
