Best players of Lebanese LBL round 18 (by Hoops Agents)

American Michael Watkins (206-F-1995) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for CS Antonine and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 18.
The 29-year old forward had a double-double of 39 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Hoops (#6, 7-9) 90-84. Antonine maintains the 5th position in Lebanese LBL. Antonine is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 8-8 record. In the team's last game Watkins had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Antonine, being already a very valuable addition to the team. The Pennsylvania State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Watkins leads league in rebounds with 15.1rpg. Watkins is in league's top in and averages solid 3.4bpg and 60.4% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American center Henry Sims (208-C-1990) of CS Maristes. Sims impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 24 points and 23 rebounds. Bad luck as Maristes lost that game 79-85 to the higher-ranked Al Markaziyyah (#8, 6-10). This loss caused Maristes to drop to 11th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-11 record. Sims is one of the most experienced players at Maristes and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Unique McLean (188-G-1997, agency: Blacktop Management) of Tadamon Hrajel (#9). McLean got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. He went also for seven rebounds and six assists. He was a key player of Tadamon, leading his team to a 88-80 win against slightly higher-ranked Antranik (#7, 7-9). McLean has individually a great season in Lebanon. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 24.5ppg (8th best).

10. Ali Mezher (182-PG-1994) of Beirut Club - 16 points, 3 rebounds and 15 assists
