Lebanese LBL round 13 best performance: Michael Watkins

American Forward Michael Watkins (206-F-1995) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for CS Antonine, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 29-year old player had a double-double of 29 points and 16 rebounds, while his team beat Antranik (#6, 6-6) 86-78. Antonine is placed at 4th position in Lebanese LBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Antonine will need more victories to improve their 7-5 record. In the team's last game Watkins had a remarkable 64.7% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Antonine, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former The Pennsylvania State University star has very solid stats this year. Watkins leads league in rebounds with 14.9rpg. Watkins is in league's top in and averages impressive 3.6bpg and 64.0% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Tyree Corbett (201-F-2000) of Club Centrale Al Markaziyyah Jounieh. Corbett had a very good evening with a double-double of 30 points and 19 rebounds. Bad luck as Al Markaziyyah lost that game 66-93 to the higher-ranked Sagesse (#3, 10-2). This loss caused Al Markaziyyah to drop to 10th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-8 record. Corbett is one of the most experienced players at Al Markaziyyah and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.8ppg (#5). He also registered 12.8 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Haitian center Cady Lalanne (208-C-1992) of Sagesse - Al Hekmeh Beirut (#3). Lalanne scored 28 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Sagesse, leading his team to a 93-66 easy win against the lower-ranked Al Markaziyyah (#10, 4-8). Sagesse is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 10-2 record is not that bad... The season just started for Lalanne as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.

10. Kevin Murphy (197-G-1990) of Antonine - 29 points and 5 assists
