Stevens' double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

30-year old American point guard Jordan Stevens (182-PG-1994) had a great game in the last round for Homentmen Beirut and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 9.
He got a double-double of 34 points and 15 assists, while his team beat Maristes (#9, 3-6) 100-86. Homentmen is placed at 7th position in Lebanese league. Homentmen is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-5 record. In the team's last game Stevens had a remarkable 53.3% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He just recently signed at Homentmen, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Midwestern State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Stevens is in league's top in points (2nd best: 27.1ppg), assists (2nd best: 9.2apg) and averages solid 54.8% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Kevin Murphy (197-G-1990) of CS Antonine. He is American guard in his first season at Antonine. In the last game Murphy recorded an impressive 34 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course he led Antonine to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Tadamon (#11, 1-8) 102-81. This victory allowed Antonine to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-5 record. Murphy is one of the most experienced players at Antonine and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.6ppg (#5). He also recorded 3.4 assists per game.

Third place about best performers goes to center Henry Sims (208-C-1990) of CS Maristes (#9). Sims scored 26 points and grabbed 21 rebounds (!!!). Despite Sims' great performance the Maristes lost 86-100 to slightly higher-ranked Homentmen (#7, 4-5). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Maristes not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 6 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Sims could try to bring Maristes' a little bit higher in the standings. Sims has individually a great season in Lebanon. After only 7 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.6rpg (3rd best).
