Round 7 most important game was a victory of Champs over 8th ranked Almtayleb 60-58 on Saturday night. Worth to mention a great performance of American Tina Stephens (188-1999, college: Troy) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds. Canadian guard Janika Griffith-Wallace (173-1998, college: VCU) contributed with 20 points for the winners. American swingman Jemimah Ashby (175-1991, college: Augustana) answered with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for Almtayleb. Champs (4-5) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Sporting B. Almtayleb at the other side dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. They share it with NSA. Champs is looking forward to face Antranik (#9) in Beirut in the next round. Almtayleb will play on the road against Club Beirut and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.

It was a great evening for the former international point guard Amar Mansour (178-2004) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Italee Lucas helped adding 22 points. At the losing side American guard Shaqwedia Wallace (175-1989, college: Temple, agency: LBM Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Undefeated Azour have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Newly promoted Azour maintains first place with 9-0 record. Club Beirut at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Azour will play against league's second-placed Al Riyadi in Beirut in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Club Beirut will play against Almtayleb and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Antranik's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after eight consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Hoops (1-8) 72-70 on Saturday. It was an exceptional evening for Jazmin Harris who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds. Antranik's coach Ellie Salameh used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Milena Marjanovic came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds for Hoops in the defeat. Antranik left bottom position moving up to ninth place, which they share with defeated Hoops. It was Hoops' fourth loss in a row. Antranik will meet higher ranked Champs (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hoops will play against Homentmen (#3) and hope to win that game.
In the last two games of round 7 Sporting B. was smashed by Al Riyadi on the road 86-63. Homentmen destroyed NSA on its own court 85-38.
