The biggest surprise of round 3 in WLBL took place in where host Azour (3-0) beat Homentmen (3-1) 74-65 on Wednesday evening. The best player for the winners was American-Angolan guard Italee Lucas (172-1989, college: UNC) who scored 26 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international point guard Amar Mansour (178-2004) chipped in 10 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Kennedy Gavin (185-1999, college: Jax State) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds.
Important game to mention about took place in . Champs (3-1) saved a 2-point victory at home edging NSA (1-2) 63-61 on Friday evening. It was a good game for American Tina Stephens (188-1999, college: Troy) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists and 6 steals. Nancy Maalouf contributed with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American forward Jessica Martino (178-2000, college: Delaware St.) answered with 27 points and 8 rebounds for NSA. NSA's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Beirut. Local Hoops (0-4) were outscored by Al Riyadi (3-0) 76-32 on Wednesday night. Worth to mention a quality performance of Rebecca Akl who helped to win the game recording 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Al Riyadi's coach Hebatalla Hassanein felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Milena Marjanovic with 10 points and 7 rebounds.
In the last two games of round 3 winless Antranik was defeated by Almtayleb in a road game 74-62. Club Beirut smashed Sporting B. at home 70-42.
