Sani Sakakini

New Taipei Kings (PLeague+) inked experienced 36-year old Palestinian ex-international 204cm power forward Sani Sakakini. He played most recently at Beirut Club in Lebanese LBL league.
He also represented Palestine at the FIBA Asia Cup 2021 Qualifiers three years ago. Sakakini was best scorer at the event with 27.5 points per game, while added 13.3 rebounds per game.
He is a very experienced player. Sakakini has played also in China (Blue Whales, Pioneers, Loong Lions, Eagles and Monkey Kings), Jordan (Orthodox), Kuwait (Kuwait), Lebanon (Al Riyadi, Champville and Hoops), Venezuela (Trotamundos), Taiwan (Yulon Luxgen, Pilots and Suns), United Arab Emirates (Shabab Al Ahli) and Palestine (Beit Sahour). He won West Asia Super League Final 8 championship title in 2024 and the cup in 2024.
Among many awards he was voted to Asia-basket.com All-Taiwanese PLeague+ Honorable Mention in 2023.
Sakakini is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Kings.
