Cleanthony Early

Sagesse - Al Hekmeh Beirut (LBL) added 33-year-old American forward Cleanthony Early (203cm-99kg-1991, college: Wichita State) to their roster for the 2024-25 season. It is his comeback to Beirut as he has played here before. He was the second-best scorer at Al Ittihad Tri in the Libyan D1 league. Early played in three leagues in two countries last year. In the Lebanese LBL, he recorded impressive stats of 18.2ppg, 6.3rpg, and 2.3apg in 12 games for Sagesse - Al Hekmeh Beirut, helping them reach the Lebanese League final. He also played 8 games in the West Asia Super League, averaging 19.9ppg, 9.8rpg, 1.0apg, and 1.1bpg, contributing to his team reaching the West Asia Super League Final 8 final.
In 2014, he was drafted by the New York Knicks (NBA) in the second round (34th overall). He graduated early from Wichita State, and it will be his 11th season in pro basketball.
He is a quite experienced player. Thanks to his pro career, he managed to play on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa, and North America) in fifteen different countries. Early has played previously professionally in Bahrain, Dominican Republic (Parque Hostos and Enriquillo), France (Olympique Antibes), Greece (AEK Betsson), Hungary (Atomeromu), Japan (Hachioji Trains), Saudi Arabia (Al Ahli, Al Nassr, and Ohod), South Africa (Tigers), Taiwan (New Taipei CTBC DEA and TB Herobears), Venezuela (Gladiadores), Kuwait (Kazma), Lebanon (Dynamo), NBA G League (RGV Vipers), The Basketball Tournament (Aftershocks), and Mongolia (BCH Garid). Early's team won Libyan League Group 4 Regular Season in 2024.
He was voted to Asia-Basket.com Japanese B League D2 All-Imports Team in 2019. He played for Sullivan County Community College for 2 years.
