Al Shurtah Police (Superleague) have signed the experienced 66-year-old Lebanese coach Ghassan Sarkis. Sarkis had already begun the season with Sagesse in the Lebanese league.

The Al Shurtah Police (Superleague) have signed Ghassan Sarkis, a 66-year-old Lebanese coach with extensive experience. Sarkis had previously started the season with Sagesse in the Lebanese league.

He coached the Lebanese Senior National Team from 2003 to 2013 and also coached the U18 National Team in 2010.

Ten years ago, he coached Lebanon at the West Asia Basketball Championship in Tehran, Iran. His team achieved the Silver medal.

He has also coached professionally in Saudi Arabia (Al Wehda), Syria (Al Ittihad), and Libya (Ahly Tripoli).

The list of past achievements is extensive. In 2022, he won the Libyan League championship title and was voted Afrobasket.com All-Libyan League Coach of the Year.
