Slimane also played for Tunisia in the Afrobasket Championship six years ago, where his team emerged victorious and won the Gold medal. During the tournament, Slimane's individual performance was impressive, with an average of 5.5 points per game, 3.2 rpg, and 1.7 apg. He had a field goal percentage (FGP) of 72.7%, a three-point percentage (3PT) of 23.8%, and a free throw percentage (FT) of 50.0%. He's a highly experienced player, having traveled extensively during his professional career. He's played in five different countries across three continents - Europe, Asia, and Africa. Previously, he played professionally for Barreirense in Portugal, Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia, ES Sahel and JS Kairouan in Tunisia, and Al Wasl and Baniyas in the United Arab Emirates. In 2023, his team reached the InterContinental Final Four. Among the many awards he has received, he was voted the AfroBasket.com All-Tunisian League Guard of the Year in 2020.
