Rickey Young (ex Al Karameh) joins Sagesse

Sagesse - Al Hekmeh Beirut (LBL) added to their roster 33-year old American power forward Rickey Young (205cm-100kg-1990, college: WVU Tech) for new 2023-24 season. He joins another USA player Cliff Alexander who is already in the roster.
He played last season at Al Karameh in Syrian SBL league. He also played for Kazma in Kuwaiti league that season where in four West Asia Super League games he had 12.0ppg and 5.5rpg. He also spent pre-season at Kuwait (D1) in Kuwaiti league. The other team he played shortly was Air Defence Sporting Club (Superleague) in Iraqi league. Another team he played briefly was Al Bataeh (ULB) in UAE league.
Young is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit five different continents, while he played in twelve different countries. He tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and of course North America. Young has played previously professionally in Bahrain (Al-Riffa), Finland (HoNsU Basket), Germany (46ers), Kosovo (Bashkimi), Montenegro, Qatar (Al Khor), Saudi Arabia (Al Hilal and Al Nassr), Bolivia (LS Olympic, La Salle and Calero), United Arab Emirates (Baniyas), Iraq (Al Karkh and Al Naft), Libya (Al Ittihad) and Kuwait (Qurrain). He won Iraqi League championship title in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
Young graduated from West Virginia University Institute of Technology in 2011 and it will be his 13th (hopefully lucky) (!!!) season as a professional player.
On Young: Ricky Young is the only player from USA, that is born 1990, and have 2 years experience in European league, outstanding jumping abilities, and athleticism, very fast, run floor good, good rebounder, blocker, can shoot from outside, team player, very coachable, definitely NBA potential..
