Al Riyadi signs Sani Sakakini

Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut (LBL) signed experienced 35-year old Palestinian ex-international power forward Sani Sakakini (204cm-100kg-1988) for upcoming 2023-24 season. Sakakini played last season at Pilots in Taiwanese PLeague+. In 27 games he had very impressive stats: 16.7ppg, 10.1rpg, 2.9apg and 1.0spg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. 2022-23 was a great season as he was named to Asia-basket.com All-Taiwanese PLeague+ Honorable Mention. Sakakini also spent pre-season at Kuwait (D1) in Kuwaiti league.
He also represented Palestine at the Asian Championship in Changsha-Hunan (China) eight years ago. His stats at that event were 8 games: Score-1 (22.4ppg), Reb-1 (12.6rpg), 2.4apg, 1.5spg, FGP: 46.2%, 3PT: 20.0%, FT: 67.9%.
Sakakini is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Jordan (Orthodox), Venezuela (Trotamundos), Taiwan (Yulon Luxgen and Suns), China (Blue Whales, Pioneers, Long Lions, Eagles and Monkey Kings), United Arab Emirates (Shabab Al Ahli), Lebanon (Champville and Hoops) and Palestine (Beit Sahour).
