Lebanese LBL round 15 best performance: Kenneth Horton (by Hoops Agents)- January 12, 2023
The 33-year old player was the main contributor (27 points, six rebounds) to his team's victory, helping them to beat NSA (#10, 3-9) 86-71. Beirut Club maintains the 3rd position in Lebanese LBL. They are still close to the very top. Beirut Club would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 10-2 record. In the team's last game Horton had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He turned to be Beirut Club's top player in his first season with the team. Kenneth Horton averages this season 15.4ppg and 6.5rpg. The second best player in last round's games was young international guard Amir Saoud (186-G-1991) of Al Riyadi. Saoud had a very good evening with 32 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course he led Al Riyadi to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Liders (#7, 4-8) 107-85. Al Riyadi's 4th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost just two games this season, while they won 10 matches. Saoud is one of the most experienced players at Al Riyadi and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Myles Carter (185-G-1999) of Atlas (#9). Carter showcased his all-around game by recording 25 points, eight rebounds and five assists in the last round. He was a key player of Atlas, leading his team to a 78-72 win against the higher-ranked Champville (#5, 6-6). The chances of Atlas not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 9 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Carter could try to bring Atlas' a little bit higher in the standings. Carter has individually a great season in Lebanon. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.6ppg (6th best). Other top performing players last week: 4. Karim Ezzeddine (206-F/C-1997) of Dynamo - 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists 5. Cliff Alexander (203-C/F-1995) of Sagesse - 17 points and 14 rebounds 6.
