Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut (LBL) inked experienced 35-year old Lebanese-South Sudanese international 210cm center Ater Majok (college: UConn) for upcoming season 2022-2023

Majok played this summer at Piratas in Venezuelan SPB league. In 13 games just recently he averaged 10.6ppg, 10.5rpg, 2.2apg and 3.6bpg. Good season as he was voted League Player of the Week.

The last season he played at US Monastir in Tunisian league where in 8 Basketball Africa League games he had 13.6ppg, 10.9rpg (leader !!!), 2.0apg and 2.5bpg. He helped them to win the Basketball Africa League championship. A very good season in his career as he was awarded Afrobasket.com All-Basketball Africa League Defensive Player of the Year, selected to All-Defensive Team and also here League Player of the Week.

Majok also played for Ezzahra Sports (ProA) in Tunisian league. He contributed to his team winning the Tunisian League title and the cup. Majok also spent pre-season at Beirut Club that year.

In 2011 (a year after his graduation) he was drafted by Los Angeles Lakers (NBA) in second round (58th overall). The former University of Connecticut standout is in his 13th (hopefully lucky) season in pro basketball.

He also represented Lebanon at the Gulf Coast Championship Semifinals four years ago.
Majok is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to fourteen different countries on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa and of course North America). Majok has played previously professionally in Australia (New Zealand Breakers), Bahrain (Al-Muharraq), Belarus, China (Shaanxi, Beijing and Hainan Haixiang), Germany (BG Goettingen), Korea, Poland (Trefl), Qatar (Al Arabi), Slovakia (Nitra), Taiwan (Taiwan Beer), Turkey, NBA (LA Lakers), Lebanon (Sagesse, Homentmen and Champville) and NBA G League (South Bay Lakers).
