Al Ettehad Alexandria (Superleague) signed experienced 45-year old Egyptian-Lebanese ex-international power forward Ahmad Ismail (205cm-111kg-1976) for upcoming 2022-23 season.


It is actually his comeback to Alexandria as he has played here before. Ismail played last season at Al Riyadi in Lebanese LBL league.


In 6 games he had 6.8ppg, 5.2rpg and 2.3apg. He also played for Al Ettehad that season where in 6 Superleague games he recorded 6.7ppg, 5.2rpg and 2.2apg. Ismail was a member of Egyptian Senior National Team between 1999 and 2011.

He has played also professionally in Qatar (Qatar Club) and Saudi Arabia (Al Ittihad). Ismail won Egyptian League championship title in 2010 and 2020 and the cup in 2008, 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2019. He was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Lebanese League Forward of the Year back in 2004, 2005, 2008 and 2019.
