Akl comes back to Al Riyadi

Akl played most recently at KP Brno in ZBL league in Czech Republic. In 26 games she recorded 11.0ppg, 5.5rpg, 3.3apg and 1.3spg last season. She also played 6 games in Eurocup where she averaged 7.7ppg, 4.5rpg, 4.3apg and 1.7spg. The last summer she played at Club Beirut. Akl helped them to win the Lebanese League title despite they ended the regular season at the second place.

She also represented Lebanon at the FIBA Asia Cup Division B in India five years ago. Akl's team won Bronze and her stats at that event were 5 games: Score-5 (16.0ppg), 3.4rpg, 3.4apg, 2.0spg, FGP: 40.9%, 3PT: 31.8%, FT: 79.3%.

Akl has played previously professionally in Greece (Esperides and PAOK Thessaloniki) and Lebanon (Homentmen Antelias and Champville).

The scouts decsribe her following way: Rebecca is the best player in the league and the Arab world for many years consecutive. She can score in different ways and she?s good in all aspects. Starting with the most important, Pick and Roll action, she knows how to beat different 2 man game reactions in addition to her unique vision on court that makes her work her guards on the weak side and her bigs on the action and low post. Akl has European skills that she uses them to score and to create easy buckets for her teammates. Rebecca enjoys the game of fast break especially that she has the speed and handles for it. She is a decent 3 pointer like every good play maker plus she is unbeatable with the pull up jumper from mid-range , especially off dribble. At the end , she is very coachable and disciplined on and off the court , while she creates great atmosphere between her teammates and coaching Staff.
