Moutahed - Atlas 56-93 The game in Tripoli supposed to be quite interesting. Fourth ranked Atlas (11-5) played at the court of 8th ranked Moutahed (5-12). Atlas smashed Moutahed 93-56 on Saturday. Atlas dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Moutahed's 32. They outrebounded Moutahed 53-29 including a 34-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Atlas looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Moutahed's players. Elias Sebaaly had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Marc Abi-Kheres (197-94) chipped in 12 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Five Atlas players scored in double figures. Forward William Sawan (201-98, agency: BIG) responded with 11 points and 6 rebounds and Ibrahim Haddad (-98) scored 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Atlas moved-up to third place, which they share with Champville. Moutahed lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 12 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest. Beirut Club (11-6) won against visiting Homentmen (2-15) 74-63. Beirut Club dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Homentmen's 28. The former international forward Patrick Bou Abboud (199-87) notched 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and guard Karam Mechref (187-92, agency: BIG) supported him with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Even a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds by Refaat Harb did not help to save the game for Homentmen. Forward Karim Jadayel (191-92) added 19 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. Beirut Club have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 11-6 record. Homentmen lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 15 games lost.
