Moutahed adds Johnson to their roster- August 7, 2019
Johnson is a dual citizen owning also American passport. He played last season at Al Rayyan in Qatari D1 league. In 7 games he recorded very impressive stats: 24.3ppg, 8.9rpg, 2.6apg and 1.9spg. Johnson also played for Hoops Club that season where in two LBL games he averaged 9.5ppg, 3.0rpg, 2.5apg and 1.5spg. He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2015. The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Johnson played in the final of Mexican CIBACOPA in 2018. He was also voted Asia-Basket.com All-Lebanese League 2nd Team in 2017. Johnson represented Lebanon at the West Asia Basketball Championships in Amman (Jordan) three years ago. He is quite experienced player. Thanks to Johnson's pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Asia, Latin America and of course North America) in five different countries. Johnson has played previously professionally in Philippines (Columbian Dyip), NBA (Houston Rockets), NBA G League (Sioux Falls Skyforce and Rio Grande Valley Vipers), Mexico (Halcones de Ciudad Obregon) and Lebanon (Byblos and Louaize). He attended University of Memphis until 2014 and it will be his sixth season as a professional player.
