Homentmen Antelias welcome back Leuchanka- February 13, 2019
In 2007 (a year after she left the college) Leuchanka was drafted by Houston Comets (WNBA) in first round (8th overall). The former West Virginia University standoutis in her 13th (hopefully lucky) season in pro basketball. Among other achievements Leuchanka received Asia-Basket.com All-Chinese WCBA 2nd Team award in 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. She has been also a member of Belarusian international program for some years. Leuchanka has regularly played for Belarusian senior team since 2003 and previously for U20 National Team in 2002. She represented Belarus at the Qualifications to European Championships 2017 three years ago. Her stats at that event were 3 games: 11.7ppg, 7.7rpg, 1.0apg, 1.0bpg, FGP: 59.1%, FT: 64.3%. Leuchanka is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball she experienced life in eight different countries playing on three different continents. She is familiar with European, Asian and of course North American leagues. Leuchanka has played previously professionally also in Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Slovakia (Good Angels), Spain, Turkey (Istanbul Uni, Galatasaray and Yakin Dogu) and WNBA (Connecticut Sun). She is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of last seasons in her extensive career, which she may end at Homentmen Antelias.
