Best players of Kazakhstan Higher League round 38 (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced Maksim Nalogov (198-F/C-1994) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for MBK Bars Petropavlovsk and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Higher League Player of the Week award for round 38.
The 31-year old power forward had a double-double of 34 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Almaty-2 (#5, 18-10) 80-71. Bars maintains the 4th position in Kazakhstan Higher League. They are still close to the very top. Bars would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 23-5 record. In the team's last game Nalogov had a remarkable 68.8% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Bars, through which he has constantly improved. Nalogov has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (6th best: 18.6ppg), rebounds (8th best: 8.9rpg) and averages solid 53.2% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young guard Nikita Fedchenko (190-G-2004) of Almaty Legion. Fedchenko impressed basketball fans with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as Almaty L. lost that game 71-80 to slightly higher-ranked Bars (#4, 23-5). Almaty L. managed to keep the same 5th spot in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 18-10 record is not bad and everything may still change. Fedchenko is one of the most experienced players at Almaty L. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Saveliy Shestak (200-C-2007) of Karaganda (#9). Shestak scored 26 points and grabbed 17 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Karaganda, leading his team to a 78-61 easy win against slightly higher-ranked ChelSU (#7, 15-13). The chances of Karaganda ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 15 games, recording just thirteen victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Shestak could help Karaganda to bring them higher in the standings. Shestak has a very solid season. In 28 games in Kazakhstan he scored 13.2ppg. He also has 8.0rpg and a FGP of 53.8%.
