D1 top team - Tigers (23-1) added another victory to their record on Sunday. This time they beat sixth ranked Caspiy Aktau (5-19) in Astana 73-66. Tigers looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Ukrainian power forward Ganna Rulyova (183-1986, agency: BIG) orchestrated the victory by scoring 12 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. Forward Yuliya Shmakova (183-2008) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Tigers' coach Vitaliy Strebkov used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ukrainian forward Vira Cherkaska (184-2002) answered with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for Caspiy Aktau. Tigers have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 23-1 record. Caspiy Aktau lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 19 games lost.
The game in Taldykorgan supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Okzhetpes (15-9) played at the court of 7th ranked Zhetysu (3-21). Okzhetpes smashed Zhetysu 96-36. It was a great evening for guard Adelya Mustafina (175-2006) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Nadezhda Yakovleva helped adding 9 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. Kyrgyzstani point guard Evelina Mazikina (165-2007) responded with 13 points. Okzhetpes maintains second place with 15-9 record having eight points less than leader Tigers. Zhetysu lost ninth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 21 lost games.

Zhetysu - Okzhetpes 36-96

The game in Taldykorgan supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Okzhetpes (15-9) played at the court of 7th ranked Zhetysu (3-21). Okzhetpes smashed Zhetysu 96-36. Okzhetpes held Zhetysu to an opponent 16.4 percent shooting from the field compared to 49.3 percent accuracy of the winners and made 19-of-22 charity shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Okzhetpes outrebounded Zhetysu 52-33 including a 39-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Okzhetpes players were unselfish on offense dishing 37 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Zhetysu's players.
