The most important game in the last round took place in Kokshetay between third ranked Okzhetpes (14-9) and fifth ranked Barsy Atyrau (11-13) on Monday night. Okzhetpes were defeated by Barsy Atyrau in a tough game at home 67-71. Barsy Atyrau outrebounded Okzhetpes 47-31 including 16 on the offensive glass. Point guard Altynshash Zinabdin (165-1999) fired 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Russian center Maria Aristova (188-2006) chipped in 13 points and 13 rebounds. Russian guard Yuliya Antonevich (178-2002) produced 20 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Newly promoted Barsy Atyrau maintains fifth position with 11-13 record. Okzhetpes at the other side dropped to the second place with nine games lost. Barsy Atyrau will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Okzhetpes will play on the road against Zhetysu in Taldykorgan and are hoping to win this game.
Leader Tigers delivered the twenty second victory. This time they crushed 6th ranked Caspiy Aktau (5-18) 88-40 in Astana. Worth to mention a great performance of Ukrainian power forward Ganna Rulyova (183-1986, agency: BIG) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Tamara Kuzmina-Yagodkina contributed with 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Alexandra Petelina (168-1998) replied with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for Caspiy Aktau. Caspiy Aktau's coach Bagrat Arakelyan gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Tigers have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 22-1 record. Caspiy Aktau lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 18 games lost. Tigers will again play against Caspiy Aktau (#6) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Caspiy Aktau will have a break next round.

Nadezhda Yakovleva had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners. At the losing side Evelina Mazikina responded with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Okzhetpes moved-up to second place. Zhetysu lost eighth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 20 lost games. Okzhetpes will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Zhetysu will play again against the league's second-placed Okzhetpes (#2) and hope to secure a win.
