Higher League Round 31 (Regular Season): Bars crush AiRom by record 39 points

The Regular Season in Higher League is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 7 rounds. The round 31 was rather boring as all games ended with very predictable results. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Local AiRom (5-23) was outscored by fourth ranked Bars (18-5) 90-51 on Saturday night. Bars dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to AiRom's 36. Bars forced 27 AiRom turnovers and outrebounded them 46-26 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Bars looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by AiRom's players. Forward Artem Parfenov (198-1998) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Sergey Dyatlik (194-1997) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. point guard Radmir Baioraz (180-2009) produced 18 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bars have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 18-5 record. AiRom lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 23 games lost. Bars are looking forward to face Oral (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. AiRom will play against Tigers-KazATU in Astana and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.

Other games of round 31 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 11th ranked Oral (8-19) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked AiRom (5-23) 85-79 on Friday. Islam Kipy (165-2009) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. point guard Radmir Baioraz (180-2009) chipped in 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Meyrambek Shamuratov (180-2001) produced 26 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists and guard Mansur Seilkhanov (184-2006) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Oral players scored in double figures. AiRom maintains twelfth place with 5-23 record. Oral lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 19 games lost. AiRom are looking forward to face higher ranked Tigers-KazATU (#9) in Astana in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Oral will play on the road against Bars having rather not much hope for a victory.
