Fedchenko's double-double lands him Higher League Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

21-year old guard Nikita Fedchenko (190-G-2004) had a great game in the last round for Almaty Legion and receives a Hoops Agents Higher League Player of the Week award for round 29.
He had a double-double of 28 points and 11 rebounds, while his team edged out ChelSU (#6, 13-9) 103-99. Almaty L. maintains the 7th position in Kazakhstan Higher League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Almaty L. will need more victories to improve their 12-8 record. In the team's last game Fedchenko had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Almaty L., through which he has constantly improved. Nikita Fedchenko averages this season 16.6ppg and 7.5rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Darim Sulatanov (175-G-2008) of MBK Tobol Kostanay. He is a guard in his second season at Tobyl. In the last game Sulatanov recorded an impressive 32 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Bad luck as Tobol lost that game 86-92 to the higher-ranked Champ1on (#8, 10-10). Tobol is still second from the bottom in the standings. 18 lost games are too many comparing to just four victories Tobol managed to get this year. Sulatanov is well-known at Tobol and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.7ppg (#3). His other stats are also decent: 5.8rpg and 5.1apg.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Bektimir Tau (200-PF-2007) of Champ1on (#8). Tau showcased his all-around game by recording 25 points, 14 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. Despite Tau's great performance the Champ1on lost 88-93 to slightly higher-ranked ChelSU (#6, 13-9). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Champ1on needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 10 victories and 10 lost games. Tau has a great season in Kazakhstan. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.5rpg (2nd best). He also has 3.9spg and a FGP of 57.5%.
