Kazakhstan Higher League round 27 best performance: Alexey Alyonushka (by Hoops Agents)

Forward Alexey Alyonushka (190-F-1995) put on an amazing game in the last round for Karaganda, receiving a Hoops Agents Higher League Player of the Week award for round 27.
The 30-year old player had a double-double of 15 points and 16 rebounds, while his team outclassed AiRom (#13, 4-15) with 38-point margin 101-63. Karaganda is placed at 7th position in Kazakhstan Higher League. Karaganda is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 9-11 record. Alyonushka turned to be Karaganda's top player in his first season with the team. Alexey Alyonushka has solid league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 10.5rpg), assists (4th best: 5.1apg) and averages impressive 60.3% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was another Karaganda's star - young Konstantin Teryukov (181-G-2000). Teryukov had a very good evening with 27 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course together with Alyonushka he helped Karaganda with another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked AiRom (#13, 4-15) 101-63. This victory allowed Karaganda to move up to 7th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 9-11 record. Teryukov is one of the most experienced players at Karaganda and similarly like Alexey Alyonushka has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Karaganda's star - center Saveliy Shestak (200-C-2007). Shestak scored 13 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Karaganda, helping his team with a 101-63 easy win against the lower-ranked AiRom (#13, 4-15). The chances of Karaganda ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 11 games, recording just nine victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Shestak could help Karaganda to bring them higher in the standings. Shestak has a very solid season. In 20 games in Kazakhstan he scored 12.3ppg. He also has 8.0rpg and a FGP of 51.6%.
