Ukrainian Power forward Ganna Rulyova (183-F/C-1986, agency: BIG) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked Astana Tigers-KazATU, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 23.
The 39-year old player had a double-double of 26 points and 20 rebounds, while her team beat Okzhetpes (#2, 9-7) 67-52. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Tigers to consolidate first place in the Kazakhstan D1. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Tigers keeps a perfect 16-0 record. In the team's last game Rulyova had a remarkable 88.9% from 2-point range. Third on the list of top players last round was another Tigers' star - international forward Tamara Kuzmina-Yagodkina (182-F-1990). Kuzmina-Yagodkina showcased her all-around game by recording 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. She was another key player of Astana Tigers-KazATU, helping her team with a 76-62 easy win against #2 ranked Okzhetpes. Tigers have amazing season winning all 16 games without a single defeat.
