Best players of Kazakhstan D1 round 21

International Power forward Nadezhda Yakovleva (183-F/C-2003) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's second-best Okzhetpes Kokshetay and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 21.
The 22-year old power forward had the game-high 23 points adding nine rebounds and three assists for Okzhetpes in her team's victory, helping them to beat Barsy Atyrau (#5, 6-9) 59-53. Okzhetpes is placed at 2nd position in Kazakhstan D1. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Okzhetpes will need more victories to improve their 9-5 record. In the team's last game Yakovleva had a remarkable 61.5% from 2-point range. She has many years of experience at Okzhetpes, through which she has constantly improved. Yakovleva has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (5th best: 15.8ppg), rebounds (4th best: 9.8rpg) and averages solid 1.1bpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Okzhetpes' star - young former international point guard Kamila Amanzholova (163-PG-2004). Amanzholova impressed basketball fans with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Of course together with Yakovleva she helped Okzhetpes Kokshetay with another comfortable win 65-51 over the lower-ranked Barsy Atyrau (#5, 6-9) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Okzhetpes to move up to second position in the standings. Her team's 9-5 record is not bad at all. Amanzholova is one of the most experienced players at Okzhetpes and similarly like Nadezhda Yakovleva has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Russian Maria Aristova (188-C-2006) of Barsy Atyrau (#5). Aristova scored 15 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Despite Aristova's great performance the Barsy Atyrau lost 51-65 to the higher-ranked Okzhetpes (#2, 9-5). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. Aristova has a very solid season. In 3 games in Kazakhstan she scored 13.0ppg.
