Petelina's 28 points and 7 rebounds give her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

27-year old point guard Alexandra Petelina (168-PG-1998) put on an amazing game in the last round for Caspiy Aktau and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 17.
She had the game-high 28 points adding seven rebounds and four assists for Caspiy Aktau in her team's victory, helping them to beat Turan (#2, 8-6) 69-62. Caspiy Aktau maintains the 6th position in Kazakhstan D1. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 11 games and recorded just three victories. In the team's last game Petelina had a remarkable 52.9% from 2-point range. She has many years of experience at Caspiy Aktau, through which she has constantly improved. Petelina has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (3rd best: 17.3ppg), assists (2nd best: 4.9apg) and averages solid 3.1spg.

Second best performed player last round was Kamazhay Otegenova (180-F-2001) of Irtysh Pavlodar-PNHZ. She is international forward in her first season at Irtysh. In the last game Otegenova recorded an impressive double-double of 15 points and 14 rebounds. It was enough for Irtysh to edge slightly lower-ranked Barsy Atyrau (#5, 5-7) by 3 points 71-68. Irtysh's 4th position in the standings has not changed. Her team's 6-6 record is not bad at all. Otegenova is a newcomer at Irtysh and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 14.8ppg (#7). She also registered 13.2 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Milana Alyoshkova (162-PG-2002) of league's second-best Turan Turkestan. Alyoshkova got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. Despite Alyoshkova's great performance the Turan lost 62-69 to the lower-ranked Caspiy Aktau (#6, 3-11). But her team cannot count on just a single shooter as she also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Turan needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 8 victories and 6 lost games. Alyoshkova has a great season in Kazakhstan. After 14 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 14.2ppg (9th best) and assists with 4.4apg (3rd best).
