Tau's double-double lands him Higher League Player of the Week award

18-year old power forward Bektimir Tau (200-PF-2007) had a great game in the last round for Champ1on and receives a Hoops Agents Higher League Player of the Week award for round 19.
He had a double-double of 27 points and 21 rebounds, while his team crushed Oral (#10, 4-6) with 19-point margin 94-75. Champ1on maintains the 8th position in Kazakhstan Higher League. Champ1on is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-9 record. In the team's last game Tau had a remarkable 58.3% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Champ1on and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Tau has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 13.8rpg) and averages solid 4.0spg and 52.7% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Nikita Fedchenko (190-G-2004) of Almaty Legion. He is a guard in his 4th season at Almaty-2. In the last game Fedchenko recorded an impressive double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he led Almaty L. to another comfortable win 113-97 over the lower-ranked Oral (#10, 4-6) being unquestionably team leader. Almaty L.'s 7th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 7-8 record. Fedchenko is one of the most experienced players at Almaty L. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Almaty-2's star - guard Dias Kalymbetov (190-G-2004). Kalymbetov scored 29 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. He was another key player of Almaty Legion, helping his team with a 113-97 easy win against the lower-ranked Oral (#10, 4-6). The chances of Almaty L. ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 8 games, recording just seven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Kalymbetov could help Almaty-2 to bring them higher in the standings. Kalymbetov has a very solid season. In 5 games in Kazakhstan he scored 17.4ppg.
