Best players of Kazakhstan D1 round 16 (by Hoops Agents)

Tamila Zhakipova (182-F/C-2000) had an amazing evening in the last round for Barsy Atyrau and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 16.
The 25-year old power forward had a double-double of 30 points and 12 rebounds, while her team beat Zhetysu (#6, 2-8) 81-66. Barsy Atyrau maintains the 4th position in Kazakhstan D1. Barsy Atyrau is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 5-5 record. In the team's last game Zhakipova had a remarkable 55.0% from 2-point range. She turned to be Barsy Atyrau's top player in her first season with the team. Zhakipova has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (6th best: 15.9ppg), rebounds (7th best: 8.9rpg) and averages solid 52.7% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young shooting guard Aiya Nurgozhanova (175-SG-2006) of Zhetysu. Nurgozhanova impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Zhetysu lost that game 66-81 to slightly higher-ranked Barsy Atyrau (#4, 5-5). Despite lost game Zhetysu moved up to 6th position in the standings. 8 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Zhetysu managed to get this year. Nurgozhanova is a newcomer at Zhetysu and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was another Barsy Atyrau's star - Altynshash Zinabdin (165-PG-1999). Zinabdin scored 16 points and passed 8 assists. Despite Zinabdin's great performance the Barsy Atyrau lost 74-75 to slightly lower-ranked Zhetysu (#6, 2-8). But her team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. Zinabdin has a great season in Kazakhstan. After only 9 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 3.8apg (8th best). She also has a FGP of 54.0% and 3PT: 43.3%.
