Kazakhstan D1 round 15 best performance: Nadezhda Yakovleva

International Power forward Nadezhda Yakovleva (183-F/C-2003) had a very impressive game in the last round for Okzhetpes Kokshetay, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 15.
The 22-year old player was the main contributor (26 points, nine rebounds and two assists) to her team's victory, helping them to crush Caspiy Aktau (#7, 2-10) with 19-point margin 64-45. Okzhetpes maintains the 3rd position in Kazakhstan D1. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Okzhetpes will need more victories to improve their 6-4 record. In the team's last game Yakovleva had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. She has many years of experience at Okzhetpes, through which she has constantly improved. Nadezhda Yakovleva has solid league stats. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.1ppg (#1). She also registered 5.1 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Okzhetpes' star - former international guard Kamila Amanzholova (163-PG-2004). Amanzholova showcased her all-around game by recording 6 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. She was another key player of Okzhetpes Kokshetay, helping her team with a 60-46 easy win against the lower-ranked Caspiy Aktau (#7, 2-10). Okzhetpes needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 4 lost games. Amanzholova has a great season in Kazakhstan. After 10 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 4.2apg (5th best). She also has 2.2spg and a FGP of 52.6%.
