Bachkarova's double-double lands her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

25-year old Belarusian swingman Daryna Bachkarova (183-G/F-2000) had a great game in the last round for second-ranked Turan Turkestan and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 14.
She had a double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds, while her team beat Irtysh (#5, 4-6) 81-76. Turan maintains the 2nd position in Kazakhstan D1. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Turan will need more victories to improve their 7-5 record. In the team's last game Bachkarova had a remarkable 53.8% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for her as usually she does not deliver so high stats. Central Methodist University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Bachkarova is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 9.3rpg) and averages solid 53.5% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Kamazhay Otegenova (180-F-2001) of Irtysh Pavlodar-PNHZ. She is international forward in her first season at Irtysh. In the last game Otegenova recorded an impressive double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Irtysh lost that game 76-81 to the higher-ranked Turan (#2, 7-5). Irtysh is still second from the bottom in the standings. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-6 record. Otegenova is a newcomer at Irtysh and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.0ppg (#7). She also registered 13.0 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to another Turan's star - forward Ulyana Kudrevtseva (175-F-1999). Kudrevtseva showcased her all-around game by recording 10 points, 14 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. She was another key player of Turan Turkestan, helping her team with a 71-64 win against the lower-ranked Irtysh (#5, 4-6). Turan needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 5 lost games. Kudrevtseva has a great season in Kazakhstan. After 12 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.0rpg (6th best).
