Power forward Tamila Zhakipova (182-F/C-2000) put on an amazing game in the last round for Barsy Atyrau, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 22 points and 13 rebounds, while her team beat Turan (#2, 5-5) 67-62. Barsy Atyrau maintains the 5th position in Kazakhstan D1. Barsy Atyrau is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-4 record. In the team's last game Zhakipova had a remarkable 64.3% from 2-point range. She turned to be Barsy Atyrau's top player in her first season with the team. Tamila Zhakipova has solid league stats. She was a key player of Tigers, leading her team to a 54-29 easy win against the lower-ranked Caspiy Aktau (#6, 2-8). Tigers have amazing season winning all 12 games without a single defeat. Rulyova turns to be one of the very best players in the league while she is also a leader of the top team having her eyes on the championship title. Rulyova has a great season in Kazakhstan. After 10 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 17.0ppg (2nd best), rebounds with 14.3rpg (2nd best) and assists with 3.8apg (7th best).
