The games at this stage are more interesting as they can be crucial for the final standings in Regular Season. Despite we already know who is stronger and who is weaker, there may be still last minute surprises and upsets. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Higher League top team - Turan (17-0) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Tigers-KazATU (5-10) in Turkistan 84-65. Turan looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. contributed with 24 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Turan's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ivan Barabash answered with 21 points and 5 rebounds for Tigers-KazATU. Undefeated Turan have an impressive series of seventeen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 17-0 record. Tigers-KazATU lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with ten games lost. Turan are looking forward to face Bars (#5) in Petropavlovsk in the next round. Tigers-KazATU will play at home against the league's second-placed Shymkent and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
The game between third ranked Barsy 2 (13-4) and 14th ranked Pavlodar (1-11) in Atyrau ended with biggest points difference. Barsy 2 outscored guests from Pavlodar 86-55. stepped up and scored 17 points and 4 assists for the winners and Adil Kuantaev chipped in 8 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Barsy 2's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Daniyal Toleutai responded with 11 points and 4 assists. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Barsy 2. They maintain third place with 13-4 record having four points less than leader Turan. Pavlodar at the other side keeps the fourteenth position with 11 games lost. Barsy 2 will play against Karaganda (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pavlodar will play against Kaspiy-2 (#15) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 17 Bars were beaten by Shymkent on the road 94-76. Bottom-ranked Kaspiy-2 was destroyed by Karaganda on its own court 63-86.
The most impressive performance of 17th round was 17 points and 4 assists by Kairat Utegen of Barsy 2.



Shymkent - Bars 94-76

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Shymkent (15-2) beat at home 5th ranked Bars (11-4) 94-76. Shymkent players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Nikolay Bazhin stepped up and scored 31 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and Anuar Shakirov chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Shymkent's coach Muslim Shakirov allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Sergey Dyatlik responded with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and Maksim Nalogov scored 21 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Shymkent. They maintain second place with 15-2 record having just two points less than leader Turan. Bars lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the fifth position with four games lost. Shymkent will play against Tigers-KazATU (#7) in Astana in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Bars will play at home against the league's leader Turan and hope to get back on the winning track.

Very expected game when 15th ranked Kaspiy-2 (1-16) was smashed by tenth ranked Karaganda (4-8) in Aktau 86-63. Karaganda forced 30 Kaspiy-2 turnovers and outrebounded them 37-26 including 16 on the offensive glass. Karaganda players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Saveliy Shestak stepped up and scored 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and Konstantin Teryukov chipped in 17 points and 4 assists. Timur Gorbach responded with 22 points and 9 rebounds and Amir Kabulov scored 14 points and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Karaganda moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Almaty-2. Kaspiy-2 lost their fourteenth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Karaganda will play against higher ranked Barsy 2 (#3) in Atyrau in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kaspiy-2 will play on the road against Pavlodar (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
