Experienced Ukrainian Ganna Rulyova (183-F/C-1986, agency: BIG) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's leader Astana Tigers-KazATU and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 39-year old power forward had a double-double of 23 points and 15 rebounds, while her team outclassed Barsy Atyrau (#4, 2-4) with 27-point margin 76-49. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Tigers to consolidate first place in the Kazakhstan D1. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is already in a full swing and Tigers still have not lost a single game, getting all 8 victories. It's Rulyova's second year at Tigers and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Rulyova has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (3rd best: 16.3ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 14.5rpg), assists (5th best: 3.8apg) and averages solid 53.5% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Ukrainian forward Vira Cherkaska (184-F-2002) of Caspiy Aktau. Cherkaska impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 25 points and 30 rebounds. Bad luck as Caspiy Aktau was edged by slightly lower-ranked Zhetysu (#7, 1-5) 72-71. Caspiy Aktau managed to keep the same 6th spot in the standings. 6 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Caspiy Aktau managed to get this year. Cherkaska is a newcomer at Caspiy Aktau and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.5ppg (#1). Her other stats are also decent: 15.4rpg and 3.1apg.

The third best performed player last round was international forward Kamazhay Otegenova (180-F-2001) of Irtysh Pavlodar-PNHZ (#3). Otegenova scored 18 points and grabbed 17 rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Irtysh, leading her team to a 57-55 win against slightly lower-ranked Okzhetpes (#5, 2-4). Irtysh needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 4 victories and 4 lost games. Otegenova has a great season in Kazakhstan. After only 8 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.1ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 13.8rpg (3rd best).
