Mammatrimov's 19 points and 6 rebounds give him Hoops Agents Higher League Player of the Week award

Begzod Mammatrimov

21-year old Begzod Mammatrimov (198-C/F-2004) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's best team Turan and receives a Hoops Agents Higher League Player of the Week award for round 12.
He had the game-high 19 points adding six rebounds and three assists for Turan in his team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Pavlodar (#15, 0-8) with 66-point margin 126-60. It allowed Turan to consolidate first place in the Kazakhstan Higher League. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. It's already very far into the season and Turan keeps a perfect 13-0 record. In the team's last game Mammatrimov had a remarkable 88.9% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Turan, through which he has constantly improved. Mammatrimov has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 10.8rpg) and averages solid 2.8bpg,3.0spg and 61.3% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Alexey Alyonushka (190-F-1995) of Karaganda. He is a forward in his first season at Karaganda. In the last game Alyonushka recorded an impressive double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Karaganda lost that game 90-97 to the higher-ranked Shymkent (#3, 11-2). Karaganda is still in a red zone at 11th spot in the standings. 6 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Karaganda managed to get this year. Alyonushka is a newcomer at Karaganda and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Victor Yuldashev (190-G-2002) of MBK Kazygurt Shymkent (#3). Yuldashev scored 25 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. He was a key player of Shymkent, leading his team to a 97-90 win against the lower-ranked Karaganda (#11, 2-6). Shymkent is closer and closer to top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 11-2 record is not that bad... Yuldashev has a great season in Kazakhstan. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.0ppg (6th best). He also has 2.7spg, a FGP of 67.5% and 3PT: 50.0%.
