D1 top team - Tigers (6-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Zhetysu (0-4) in Astana 74-49. Tigers forced 25 Zhetysu turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. orchestrated the victory by scoring 12 points and 5 rebounds. Ukrainian power forward Ganna Rulyova (183-1986, agency: BIG) contributed with 7 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Tigers' coach Vitaliy Strebkov felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Anastasia Knaub replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds for Zhetysu. Undefeated Tigers have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 6-0 record. Newly promoted Zhetysu still closes the standings with four games lost. Tigers are looking forward to face Barsy Atyrau (#4) at home in the next round. Zhetysu will play against Caspiy Aktau and hopes to get finally their first victory.

In the last game of round 8 Turan beat Caspiy Aktau on the road 63-46.
