Kazakhstan D1 round 6 best performance: Ganna Rulyova (by Hoops Agents)

Ukrainian Power forward Ganna Rulyova (183-F/C-1986, agency: BIG) had an amazing evening in the last round for top-ranked Astana Tigers-KazATU, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 39-year old player had a double-double of 20 points and 16 rebounds, while her team crushed Okzhetpes (#5, 1-3) with 16-point margin 62-46. It allowed Tigers to consolidate first place in the Kazakhstan D1. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Tigers already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. It's Rulyova's second year at Tigers and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Ganna Rulyova has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (2nd best: 21.0ppg) and averages impressive 42.9% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young Xeniya Abdurashitova (168-PG-2001) of Irtysh Pavlodar-PNHZ. Abdurashitova had a very good evening with 27 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course she led Irtysh to another comfortable win outscoring Caspiy Aktau (1-3) 80-58. This victory allowed Irtysh to leave bottom place moving a little bit up to 4th position in the standings. 3 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Irtysh managed to get this year. Abdurashitova is one of the most experienced players at Irtysh and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Irtysh's star - international guard Liya Umerova (166-PG-2002). Umerova showcased her all-around game by recording 11 points, 11 rebounds (!!!) and 9 assists in the last round. She was another key player of Irtysh Pavlodar-PNHZ, helping her team with a 80-58 easy win against Caspiy Aktau (1-3). Irtysh can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-3 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Umerova has individually a great season in Kazakhstan. After only 4 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 5.3apg (best passer).
