There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in Higher League. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

An interesting game for Turan (10-0) which played road game in Shymkent against second-best Shymkent (8-2). Leader Turan had an easy win 88-73. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Shymkent. Turan dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Shymkent's 18. They outrebounded Shymkent 49-35 including a 40-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for who led his team to a victory with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. contributed with 25 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Anuar Shakirov answered with 18 points and 7 assists for Shymkent. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Undefeated Turan have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain first place with 10-0 record. Shymkent at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. They share it with Barsy 2. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

Bottom-ranked Pavlodar is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their fourth consecutive match to fifth ranked Tigers-KazATU (5-4) 68-49 on Sunday evening. Shyndos Zhumabay nailed 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Marlen Berikov came up with 12 points and 4 steals for Pavlodar in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Tigers-KazATU. They maintain fifth place with 5-4 record. Pavlodar lost their fourth game in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. Tigers-KazATU will meet league's second-placed Bars in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pavlodar will play against Karaganda (#11) and hopes to get finally their first victory.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 9: Karaganda lost to undefeated Bars on the road 56-81. ChelSU was destroyed by Shymkent on its own court 72-102. Winless Tobyl unfortunately lost to ChelSU in Kostanay 78-83. Karaganda recorded a loss to Tigers-KazATU at home 81-83. Bars crushed Pavlodar on the opponent's court 87-38.
The most impressive performance of 9th round was 13 points and 14 rebounds by Daniyal Nurgaliev of Bars.



Bars - Karaganda 81-56

No shocking result in a game when leader Bars (9-0) crushed 13th ranked Karaganda (1-3) in Petropavlovsk 81-56 on Friday. Bars dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Karaganda's 26. Maksim Nalogov nailed a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and Artem Kozyrkin accounted for 18 points and 6 assists. Four Bars players scored in double figures. Alexey Alyonushka came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 19 rebounds and Konstantin Teryukov added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Karaganda in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for Bars. They maintain second place with 9-0 record behind leader Turan. Karaganda lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with three games lost. Bars will meet at home Tigers-KazATU (#5) in the next round. Karaganda will play against Pavlodar (#14) and hope to win that game.

Very expected game when 8th ranked ChelSU (4-6) was smashed by second ranked Shymkent (8-2) in Kostanay 102-72 on Friday. Shymkent forced 23 ChelSU turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Anuar Shakirov nailed 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and Aleksei Vereshagin accounted for 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Shymkent players scored in double figures. Coach Muslim Shakirov's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players saving starting five for next games. Maxim Zhukov came up with 9 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and Stanislav Rovovoy added 14 points and 10 rebounds respectively for ChelSU in the defeat. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Shymkent. Despite that victory Shymkent went down to third position due to points difference, which they share with Barsy 2. ChelSU lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the eighth place with six games lost. They share the position with Almaty-2. Turan players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Tobyl's players.
