Cherkaska's double-double lands her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

23-year old Ukrainian forward Vira Cherkaska (184-F-2002) put on an amazing game in the last round for Caspiy Aktau and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
She had a double-double of 27 points and 14 rebounds, while her team lost the game against the league's best team Barsy Atyrau (#1, 2-0) 47-68. Caspiy Aktau maintains the 6th position in Kazakhstan D1. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 2 games and recorded no victories. In the team's last game Cherkaska had a remarkable three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. She turned to be Caspiy Aktau's top player in her first season with the team. Third place about best performers goes to another Barsy Atyrau's star - guard Julia Kovalchuk (161-G-2007). Kovalchuk scored 12 points and passed 6 assists.
