Lavrenko's 28 points and 7 rebounds give him Higher League Player of the Week award

20-year old swingman Kirill Lavrenko (195-F/G-2005) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's best team MBK Bars Petropavlovsk and receives a Hoops Agents Higher League Player of the Week award for round 6.
He had the game-high 28 points adding seven rebounds and three assists for Bars in his team's victory, helping them to outclass Tigers-KazATU (#7, 2-3) with 40-point margin 105-65. It allowed Bars to consolidate first place in the Kazakhstan Higher League. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Bars already had a very good start winning all 5 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Lavrenko had a remarkable 80.0% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Bars, through which he has constantly improved. Kirill Lavrenko averages this season 8.8ppg.

Second best performed player last round was Maxim Zhukov (173-PG-2001) of ChelSU Kostanay. He is a guard in his 4th season at ChelSU. In the last game Zhukov recorded an impressive 34 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course he led ChelSU to another comfortable win 91-74 over Tobyl (#14, 0-5) being unquestionably team leader. ChelSU's 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 3-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Zhukov is one of the most experienced players at ChelSU and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.2ppg (#1). He also recorded 5.2 assists per game.

Third place about best performers goes to Begzod Mammatrimov (198-C/F-2004) of league's second-best Turan. Mammatrimov scored 23 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Turan, leading his team to a 80-68 win against #4 ranked Shymkent in a game of the week. Turan started extremely well this year. They recorded 5 victories without losing a single game. Mammatrimov turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Mammatrimov has a great season in Kazakhstan. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.0rpg (3rd best).
