Best players of Kazakhstan D1 round 1 (by Hoops Agents)

Former international Point guard Milana Alyoshkova (162-PG-2002) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader Turan Turkestan and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
The 23-year old playmaker had the game-high 19 points adding four rebounds and seven assists for Turan in her team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Zhetysu (#7, 0-2) with 28-point margin 78-50. It allowed Turan to consolidate first place in the Kazakhstan D1. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Turan won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Alyoshkova had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. She has many years of experience at Turan, through which she has constantly improved. Alyoshkova has impressive league stats. She is league's best scorer averaging so far 17.0ppg and is league's best passer with 5.5apg. Alyoshkova is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 6.0rpg) and averages solid 52.9% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Turan's star - young former international forward Ulyana Kudrevtseva (175-F-1999). Kudrevtseva impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 14 points and 19 rebounds. Of course Turan Turkestan cruised to a 65-56 relatively comfortable win over Zhetysu (0-2). Her team has extremely good start of the season. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Kudrevtseva is well-known by Turan fans and together with Milana Alyoshkova they both established positions among team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 12.5ppg (#3). She also registered 15.5 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Anzhelika Ikizhanova (165-G-2007) of Zhetysu (#7). Ikizhanova scored 16 points. Despite Ikizhanova's great performance the Zhetysu lost 50-78 to Turan (#1, 2-0). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. Ikizhanova has individually a great season in Kazakhstan. After only 2 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 12.0ppg (4th best) and assists with 1.5apg (7th best).

9. Alexandra Saitova (164-SF-2000) of Turan - 6 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists
10. Aiya Nurgozhanova (175-SG-2006) of Zhetysu - 7 points and 2 rebounds
