Power forward Maksim Nalogov (198-F/C-1994) had a great game in the last round for top-ranked MBK Bars Petropavlovsk, receiving a Hoops Agents Higher League Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 31-year old player had a double-double of 23 points and 16 rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Tobyl (#14, 0-3) with 43-point margin 108-65. It allowed Bars to take over top position in the Kazakhstan Higher League. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Bars already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Nalogov had a remarkable 53.8% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Bars, through which he has constantly improved. Maksim Nalogov has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (8th best: 18.3ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 10.7rpg), assists (3rd best: 5.3apg) and averages impressive 61.9% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Dmitriy Luchko (193-G-1997) of ChelSU Kostanay. Luchko had a very good evening with a double-double of 29 points and 10 rebounds. It was enough for ChelSU to edge slightly lower-ranked Tigers-KazATU (#7, 1-2) 79-78. ChelSU's 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 2-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Luchko is a newcomer at ChelSU, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Bars' star - forward Artem Parfenov (198-F-1998). Parfenov scored 16 points and grabbed 14 rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of MBK Bars Petropavlovsk, helping his team with a 108-65 easy win against Tobyl (#14, 0-3). Bars started extremely well this year. They recorded 4 victories without losing a single game. Parfenov turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Parfenov has a great season in Kazakhstan. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.7rpg (2nd best).
