Astana Tigers outrebounded Turan 39-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. Turan was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Ukrainian power forward Ganna Rulyova (183-1986, agency: BIG) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points. The former international forward Zalina Kurazova (185-1985) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Center Valeria Petrova (184-1996) replied with 22 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and the former international guard Oksana Bagmet (170-1996) added 6 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Turan. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
