International Forward Anton Bykov (200-F-1989) had an amazing evening in the last round for top-ranked MBK Tobol Kostanay, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 21.
The 35-year old player had a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Almaty L. (#3, 15-10) 92-81. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Tobol to take over top position in the Kazakhstan National League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Tobol has a very solid 21-7 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team's last game Bykov had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Tobol, through which he has constantly improved. Anton Bykov has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (3rd best: 21.1ppg) and averages impressive 65.0% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young international point guard Daniil Severgin (183-PG-2005) of Almaty Legion. His team's 15-10 record is not bad at all. Severgin is one of the most experienced players at Almaty L. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.2ppg (#4). His other stats are also decent: 4.2rpg and 6.4apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Tobol's star - international guard Shaim Kuanov (181-PG-1991). Kuanov showcased his all-around game by recording 15 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists in the last round. He was another key player of MBK Tobol Kostanay, helping his team with a 92-81 win against #3 ranked Almaty L.. Tobol confirms their top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 21 victories and 7 lost games. Kuanov has a great season in Kazakhstan. After 24 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 7.5apg (best passer).
