Best players of Kazakhstan D1 round 15 (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced Former international Center Oksana Nurbaeva (188-C-1990) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's leader Astana Tigers-KazATU and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 15.
The 34-year old center had a double-double of 20 points and 12 rebounds, while her team outclassed Irtysh (#5, 4-16) with 40-point margin 81-41. It allowed Astana Tigers to consolidate first place in the Kazakhstan D1. Astana Tigers has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 19-1. Nurbaeva has many years of experience at Astana Tigers, through which she has constantly improved. Oksana Nurbaeva averages this season 5.2ppg and 6.5rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Russian Olga Aksenova (187-C/F-1996) of second-ranked Okzhetpes Kokshetay. Aksenova impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds. Of course Okzhetpes cruised to a 71-59 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Caspiy Aktau (#4, 9-11). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Okzhetpes consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. Her team's 13-6 record is not bad at all. Aksenova is a newcomer at Okzhetpes and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 14.0ppg (#4). Her other stats are also decent: 10.8rpg and 4.1apg.

The third best performed player last round was Georgian Tamar Papuashvili (180-PF-2003) of Caspiy Aktau (#4). Papuashvili scored 7 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). Despite Papuashvili's great performance the Caspiy Aktau lost 59-71 to #2 ranked Okzhetpes. But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The chances of Caspiy Aktau ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 11 games, recording just nine victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Papuashvili could help Caspiy Aktau to bring them higher in the standings. Papuashvili has a great season in Kazakhstan. After 20 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 4.4apg (7th best). She also has 2.7spg and 2.0bpg.

9. Milana Alyoshkova (162-PG-2002) of Turan - 14 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Daria Surkova (176-F/G-2001) of Okzhetpes - 14 points and 3 assists
