Rulyova's 18 points and 8 rebounds give her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

38-year old Ukrainian power forward Ganna Rulyova (183-F/C-1986, agency: BIG) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's best team Astana Tigers-KazATU and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
She had the game-high 18 points adding eight rebounds and five assists for Astana Tigers in her team's victory, helping them to beat Okzhetpes (#2, 11-6) 67-58. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Astana Tigers to consolidate first place in the Kazakhstan D1. Astana Tigers has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 18-1. Rulyova turned to be Astana Tigers' top player in her first season with the team. Rulyova has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (7th best: 12.9ppg).

Second best performed player last round was Nadezhda Yakovleva (183-F/C-2003) of league's second-best Okzhetpes Kokshetay. She is international forward in her 7th season at Okzhetpes. In the last game Yakovleva recorded an impressive 22 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course she led Okzhetpes to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Irtysh (#5, 2-15) 83-39. This victory allowed Okzhetpes to move up to second position in the standings. Her team's 11-6 record is not bad at all. Yakovleva is one of the most experienced players at Okzhetpes and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Okzhetpes' star - Olga Aksenova (187-C/F-1996). Aksenova showcased her all-around game by recording 13 points, 12 rebounds (!!!) and 4 assists in the last round. Despite Aksenova's great performance the Okzhetpes Kokshetay lost 58-67 to #1 ranked Astana Tigers. But her team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Okzhetpes needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 11 victories and 6 lost games. Aksenova has a great season in Kazakhstan. After 15 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 14.1ppg (2nd best), rebounds with 10.9rpg (2nd best) and assists with 4.1apg (8th best). She also has 2.7spg and 1.7bpg.
