Best players of Kazakhstan D1 round 12

Experienced International Center Anna Bezgodova (192-C-1992) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's leader Astana Tigers-KazATU and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 12.
The 32-year old center had a double-double of 18 points and 14 rebounds, while her team beat Irtysh (#5, 2-12) 69-54. It allowed Astana Tigers to consolidate first place in the Kazakhstan D1. Astana Tigers has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 15-1. In the team's last game Bezgodova had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. She has many years of experience at Astana Tigers, through which she has constantly improved. Bezgodova has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 8.3rpg) and averages solid 56.5% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young center Valeria Petrova (184-C-1996) of Turan Turkestan. Petrova impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds. Of course she led Turan to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Caspiy Aktau (#4, 8-8) 80-58. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Turan consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. Her team's 9-5 record is not bad at all. Petrova is a newcomer at Turan and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 13.1ppg (#7). She also registered 6.9 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was another Astana Tigers' star - international forward Tamara Kuzmina-Yagodkina (182-F-1990). Kuzmina-Yagodkina scored 13 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. She was another key player of Astana Tigers-KazATU, helping her team with a 72-37 easy win against the lower-ranked Irtysh (#5, 2-12). Many experts and fans count Astana Tigers as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 15 victories and only one lost game. They are currently at the very top of the standings. Kuzmina-Yagodkina has a very solid season. In 16 games in Kazakhstan she scored 11.3ppg. She also has 5.6rpg and 2.1spg.
