Kazakhstan D1 round 10 best performance: Tamara Kuzmina-Yagodkina (by Hoops Agents)

International Forward Tamara Kuzmina-Yagodkina (182-F-1990) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked Astana Tigers-KazATU, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 34-year old player had a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds, while her team beat Okzhetpes (#3, 7-5) 67-52. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Astana Tigers to consolidate first place in the Kazakhstan D1. Astana Tigers has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 13-1. In the team's last game Kuzmina-Yagodkina had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range. She has many years of experience at Astana Tigers, through which she has constantly improved. Tamara Kuzmina-Yagodkina averages this season 11.5ppg and 5.4rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was another Astana Tigers' star - young Ukrainian Ganna Rulyova (183-F/C-1986, agency: BIG). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Astana Tigers consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. Her team belongs to top of the standings with 13-1 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Rulyova is a newcomer at Astana Tigers, but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 12.8ppg (#8). Her other stats are also decent: 13.8rpg and 5.6apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was Russian Olga Aksenova (187-C/F-1996) of Okzhetpes Kokshetay (#3). Aksenova scored 14 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). Despite Aksenova's great performance the Okzhetpes lost 52-67 to #1 ranked Astana Tigers. But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Okzhetpes needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 7 victories and 5 lost games. Aksenova has a great season in Kazakhstan. After 12 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.0ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 10.6rpg (2nd best). She also has 2.3spg and 1.8bpg.
